Christina Milinusic is a Calgary based sound artist and theremin player. A professional audio
practitioner for over a decade, she has held technical positions with the Calgary Stampede and
historic Grand Theatre. Currently, she volunteers as chapter head for SoundGirls Alberta and is
an Individualized Multidisciplinary Master of Art candidate at the University of Lethbridge.
Christina’s academic focus on soundscapes studies is inspired and informed by disciplines
across the Fine Arts and Sciences including Music, Audio Engineering, Acoustic Ecology and
Electronics. Christina’s artistic work cultivates sound making practices and seeks to attune
listeners to the sonic information found in everyday acoustic environments. investigating the
broad range of sounds perceived by both human and non-human life forms.
