Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal
A graduate of Les Petits Chanteurs du Mont-Royal, Simon Leclerc studied at the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal and quickly immersed himself into a multitude of musical spheres: from pop backup singer (Céline Dion) to musicals (Gala, Les Misérables), he quickly became a highly sought-after arranger-composer for Québec artists.

Record producer, film, and documentary music composer, he has also composed for television.
He has been in charge of many symphonic concerts starring Mika, Cœur de Pirate, Bruno Pelletier, Is belle Boulay, Starmania, Notre-Dame de Paris, Simple Plan, Rufus Wainright, Marie-Mai, to name a few.

He traveled to Los Angeles where, for a little over six years, where he conducted the Paramount Pictures Orchestra for television series and major Hollywood motion pictures.

In 2005, he conducted the symphonic concert series given by Charles Aznavour in Canada. Yannick Nézet-Séguin called on him during the production of the Kurt Weill cd recorded with Diane Dufresne. Kent Nagano commissioned from him two concertos: one for Concerto pour Animateur de Radio et Orchestre (Concerto for radio host and orchestra) and the other for Four Bassoons, Contrabassoon and Orchestra.

More recently, he was behind the adaptation of Harmonium’s complete work with the “Harmonium Symphonique” recording.
